Here is a Tekken news update:

• Tekken 6 Update Detailed, Dated (Source: GameTrailers; thanks to “exile360″ of TZ).  The Online Mode patch for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Tekken 6 is scheduled to be released on November 26.
• PlayStation Store Update – November 24, 2009 (Source: PlayStation Blog).  Tekken 6 for the PSP is now available for purchase on UMD and for download from the U.S. PlayStation Store for $39.99.

Amazon.com Gold Box: Tekken 6 Limited Edition Fight Stick Bundle (Xbox 360)

I just learned from Paulinstein that Amazon.com is currently having a special that for the Tekken 6 Limited Edition Fight Stick Bundle for the Xbox 360.  The entire bundle is going for $59.98, but this deal will only last another 2 hours (ends at 6PM PST).

If you’re here visiting this blog, there’s a chance that you’ve seen at least one of the Tekken FAQs that I’ve written or helped with for Tekken Tag Tournament, Tekken 4, Tekken 5, Tekken: Dark Resurrection, and Soul Calibur 2. If not, you can find most of them here: http://faqs.tekkenomics.com

What does “FAQ” stand for?   Well, “FAQ” stands for “Frequently Asked Questions”, and for video games it usually means a guide or useful information.

I have already finished the templates and most of the table of contents for the other Tekken 6 FAQs I plan to write and have gathered A LOT of information, but have not yet added any content. As I will be using my Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection FAQs as a guide when putting together the FAQs for Tekken 6, the purpose of this blog entry is to see if there is anything that you will like to see changed, or content that you will like to see added to or removed from our Tekken 6 FAQs. Or is there something that you like and want to see remain the same? Is there something confusing or not explained well enough? Are there any ideas listed below that you like/dislike? Please post any comments, suggestions, or questions below. Also, let me know if you’ve found any of of my FAQs useful.

I haven’t decided yet, but I might push back the first release of the Tekken 6 FAQs from December to sometime in January so that  I can spend some time enjoying my upcoming vacation and work also on completing the Tekken 6 Move Lists for IGN. The comments and feedback posted below will play a big part in my decision.

Back in June 2009, Namco Bandai and Gamestop announced that those who pre-ordered the PS3 or Xbox 360 version of Tekken 6 from Gamestop will receive a pre-order bonus which included a DLC (downloadable content) voucher code that allows you to download the Samurai Pack. Later, Amazon.com also gave away this DLC pre-order bonus. This pack includes Penny Arcade’s Cardboard Tube Samurai costume for Yoshimitsu and three Samurai Battle Banners that is available for every fighter.

NOTE: The flags shown above aren’t the actual flags that you will receive.  Instead, you will receive flags of Asuka/Jin, Bryan and Christie.

My Tekken 6 Wish-list (Revisted)

Back on July 28, 2009, I posted a list of things that I would have liked to see within the console version of Tekken 6.  This blog entry will revisit that list and see which of these Namco Bandai added into the game.

Defeating NANCY-MI847J

For those of you who are having trouble defeating NANCY-MI847J in Tekken 6’s Arcade Battle mode, here are a few videos found on YouTube that might be helpful.

Tekken 6 Character Item Moves Video

There is a video up on YouTube, uploaded by byakokoko, which shows the special item moves for each character.  If you’re not familiar with “item moves”, in Tekken 6 each fighter has certain customization items that will give them a new move when equipped.  Check out the video below:

October 2009 – An Additional 31 Consecutive Days of Blogging

There you have it… for a third straight month! Another month of blogging about Tekken with at least one post every day, this time for the month of October (31 consecutive days). Tekken 6 Console Question and Answer

Tekken 6 Trophy & Achievement Guide

I have begin writing a Trophy & Achievement Guide for the console version of Tekken 6.  At the moment, it is only available on for download from IGN.  It is currently only around 50% complete, but it does contain a list of all available trophies within the game.
