Street Fighter X Tekken Revealed at SDCC!

The previously mentioned rumor of a Capcom X Namco game had some truth to it. There was a reveal of a new game called “Street Fighter X Tekken” at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend. Here are some videos posted by SD Tekken:

Tekkenomics Updates Continuing After SDCC 2010!

Hey everyone,

The last few months, I have been slacking with Tekkenomics website updates, FAQ updates, and responding to e-mails.  After the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) this weekend, I’ll be getting back into updates and responding to old e-mails.

Rumor: Namco vs Capcom, Capcom vs Namco In Development

According to the “Game Informer” website, Namco is working on two cross-over fighting games with Capcom, which will be unrelated to the Namco X Capcom game released in Japan on the PS2 in 2005.

The source also says that if this rumor is true, there is a chance that trailers could be available at Comic-Con this week.

Tekken 6 Loading Screen Game Tips

This blog post contains a list of the tips for Tekken 6 that are shown during the loading screens in the console version.

- After being tossed up by an opponent, if you get up right as you hit the floor, this is called Ukemi. To pull off a Sideways Quick Roll, press any button just as you hit the ground.

- After your health meter drops past a certain point, it will glow red, triggering the Rage System. When the Rage System is triggered, striking attacks deal greater damage.

- An opponent can not block while in midair, so you can juggle them until they land on the ground again.

- Attacks are classified as high, mid, or low. If left unblocked, high attacks can deal damage to standing opponents, but they will miss crouching opponents.

- Attacks are dealt with the “1″, “2″, “3″, and “4″. Each button controls a limb of your character. (This only applies to the default controller settings.)

DreamWorks: How to Train Your Dragon

Hello everyone,

I have a bit of news that isn’t Tekken related, but it is Tekkenomics related.  One of the original members of Tekkenomics, Jose Medina, played a part in the creation of DreamWorks’ newest animated movie “How to Train Your Dragon”, which releases in movie theaters on Friday, March 26, 2010 (tomorrow).  So, if you have some free time, I recommend that you go to you local theater and check it out !  You can view several trailers below:

Tekken 6 Soundtrack Available on iTunes [UPDATE]

[UPDATE] Included information on the Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion Soundtrack.

The soundtrack for the Arcade version of Tekken 6 is available for purchase and download through iTunes.  There are a total of 17 songs available.  You can either purchase an individual song for $0.99 or the entire soundtrack for $5.99.
