FAQ Update – February 8, 2010

I’ve been very busy over the last few weeks with family, jury duty and work.  Because of this, I haven’t had much time to work on the Tekken 6 Move Lists and FAQs.  I expect to have some more time in the upcoming week to continue working on these.

FAQ Update – Tekken 6 FAQs Released!

The first versions of my Tekken 6 FAQs have been sent out today and should be on the usual websites soon.  The first versions of the “Hidden Moves”, “Combo”, and “Game System & General FAQ” are being released, however I still have some work to do before the first version of the “Customization FAQ” is ready.  These are the very early stages of these FAQs, and I still have a lot of work to do, but I wanted to make something available. Enjoy!

Tekken 6 Taunts FAQ Discontinued

Hello everyone,

I checked out GameFAQs and noticed there is a “Tekken 6 Win Pose Guide” available, created by Goh_Billy.  Because of this, I don’t really see a reason for me to spend time putting together the “Tekken 6 Taunts FAQ”, so I will stop working on that particular FAQ.

I just wanted to make a post thanking CD-DT of Tekken Zaibatsu for making me an animated avatar for Lei Wulong. The background showcases the animals from Lei’s different stances.

Tekken 6 Move List Update – January 14, 2010 [UPDATE]

Another update for our Tekken 6 Move List is now available.  Thanks to Stephen Ng of IGN, a new navigation bar has been added to the top of the page.  The following changes have also been made:

• Updated “Legend & Conventions” – Reformatted “Character Specific” section.
• Updated “Bound Moves” section – Added bound moves for Baek, Christie and Jin; Updated Christie, Devil Jin and Zafina.  Thanks to Marin of TZ for providing a bound move for Baek.
• Updated “Customization Item Moves” section – Updated notes with the items that are only available or not available in the PSP version.
• Updated Move Lists – “Sample Combos” section for each fighter is now available.

[UPDATE] The additional updates have been made and should be available within the next couple of days:
- Updated and added an additional Bound Move for Christie, and updated Marshall, Roger Jr. and Sergei.
- Updated “Customization Item Moves” section – Added a note for Yoshimitsu.
- Added all remaining Bound Move command names, and re-arranged some moves.
- Other minor changes.

Kotaku: Play Tekken 6 Online Co-Op Next Week

According to Kotaku, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Tekken 6 should receive a patch to enable inline co-op for the Scenario Campaign Mode.

Tekken 6 Swag Giveaway – Contest Winner

Back in November 2009, we had a little swag giveaway for Tekken 6, which was only available to U.K. residents.  The original posting is available here.

Unfortunately, the Namco Bandai advertising business partner that was supposed to provide the swag prize pack flaked on us. But as a replacement prize, the winner received a Tekken 6 themed t-shirt from TapouT.

Uncharted 2 Navarro Multiplayer Skin Codes – “First come, First served”

The Tekkenomics Blog only focuses on the Tekken series, but to celebrate Uncharted 2: Among Thieves for the PS3 receiving several “Game of the Year” awards, we will be giving away several Navarro Multiplayer Skin codes for the game.

These codes can only be redeemed on a Region 1 PlayStation Store account and will only work on a Region 1 version of the game (United States, Canada, Mexico).

I have posted all remaining codes below.  Each code can only be redeemed once, so “first come, first served”.  Please DO NOT ask if we have any more codes or tell me that a code doesn’t work for you.

IMPORTANT: All codes expire on December 31, 2009.

Tekken 6 (Arcade) Soundtrack Available on iTunes

The soundtrack for the Arcade version of Tekken 6 is available for purchase and download through iTunes.  There are a total of 17 songs available.  You can either purchase an individual song for $0.99 or the entire soundtrack for $5.99.

Tekken 6 “Knows no Bounds”

I have put together a list of bound moves available within Tekken 6, which can be found on IGN below:

• Tekken 6 Bound Moves

If you’re not familiar with Bound moves, the following information is provided within the Tekken 6 instruction manual:

Certain techniques will bounce airborne enemies off of the ground, allowing you to extend your combo.  Performing Bound techniques over destructible portions on the ground will break it and drop your opponent to the stage below.

If you know of any other Bound moves not listed, let me know .

Pre-Tekken 6 FAQ Info and Links

Hello everyone,

If you’ve every wondered what “FAQ” means, it is an acronym for “Frequently Asked Questions” and for video games it usually means a guide or helpful/useful information. Similar to Tekken 5, we will be creating several FAQs for Tekken 6 which might be released some time in January 2010.

From our “Tekken 6 FAQ Poll”, I am getting an idea of what order I should try to work on and complete the first version of our Tekken 6 FAQs, however I still haven’t received any feedback from our Pre-Tekken 6 FAQ Comments and Feedback thread. I would really like to know what you like and don’t like about our previous Tekken FAQs, as the Tekken 6 FAQs will be modeled after our Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection FAQs. Please post any and all comments, suggestions, and questions that you might have that could be used to help improve the Tekken 6 FAQs in the previously mentioned thread.
