6 Tekken 6 Questions – Part 1
In this blog post, I will give my answers to common Tekken 6 questions that I have been asked or seen on the forums that I visit.
Q: What version of Tekken 6 is being released on consoles?
A: The arcades have seen “Tekken 6” and “Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion”. The home version will contain all of the content from “Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion”, but it will only be referred to as “Tekken 6”.
Q: When is Tekken 6 being released for (insert country here)?
A: Currently, Namco has only officially announced an October 27, 2009 release date for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Tekken 6 in the United States. The release date for other countries/regions should be close to this date.
Q: When is the PSP version of Tekken 6 being released?
A: Namco has not officially announced the release date for the PSP, but Gamestop.com has the date listed as November 3, 2009.
Q: Will Tekken 6 for PSP be released on UMD and/or will it be downloadable through the PlayStation Network (PSN)?
A: Sony wants to support their new PSP Go, which is only able to play digital versions of the games, so it is highly likely that Tekken 6 will be available for download through PSN. There is no reason why Tekken 6 shouldn’t also be released on UMD.
Q: Will there be a Tekken 6 demo released on Xbox Live and PSN?
A: There hasn’t been any mention of a demo yet. In the past, Tekken 5 had a demo that was packed in with Death By Degrees, Soul Calibur 4 had a demo after the game was released, and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection never received a demo. My guess is that Tekken 6 will receive a demo after the game has been released.
Q: I pre-ordered Tekken 6 from Gamestop, but didn’t receive the DLC code or the calendar? Will I get this when I pick up the game?
A: Yes, you will receive it when you pick up the game from the store or when it ships to you.
