Tekkenomics Vault: Tekken 5 Demo

- My Comments: When “Nina: Death By Degrees” was released for the PS2 back in 2005, it came with a small demo of Tekken 5. When I first picked the game up, I was actually more interested in the demo than the game :). The demo turned out to be a bit disappointing because only one player could play at a time. If you’ve never played “Nina: Death By Degrees”, you can think of it as a more robust version of Tekken 5’s “Tekken: Devil Within” mode. This article talks about what was included in the demo.

Tekken 5 Demo
In this article, I take a look at the Tekken 5 demo.
Intro Included with Namco’s Tekken spin-off featuring Nina Williams, “Death By Degrees” was a short demo of the latest game in Namco’s Tekken series, Tekken 5. I have yet to try out DBD, but I spent some time trying out the T5 demo. Below is a picture of the ad for the demo. WARNING: The picture is very large. (Click on image to enlarge)
Demo In the demo, you have two fighters to choose from: Asuka and Raven. Also, there are two stages available to fight. Screenshots of the stages can be seen below (not taken from the demo). There are only two disappointing things about the demo. The first is that the demo can only be played by one player at a time. The second is that you can only play one round of a single match. So, no matter if you win or lose, you will get the “Game Over” screen. The demo is still good enough to tide you over for the U.S. release on February 25, 2005. |
